Here's what happens during a 90-minute Techstars Startup Weekend:

6:00 – 6:15 p.m.

 –The “Half Baked Pitch” Ice Breakers –

6:15 – 6:30 p.m.

– Launchpad Introduction Presentation –

LaunchPad introduction given by a “Student Entrepreneur in Residence” or LaunchPad campus leader on what the program is and what the offerings are, including the fact that you learn by doing, as they will in this session.

6:30 – 6:40 p.m.

– How To Pitch –

10 minute “How To Pitch session” presented by Student Entrepreneur in Residence.

6:40 – 6:55 p.m.

– Brainstorm Ideas and Pitch –

Students use THIS worksheet to identify an idea and formulate their pitch, then practice to themselves.

6:55 – 7:10 p.m.

– Elevator Pitch Competition –

Each contestant gets 30 seconds to pitch.

7:10 – 7:20 p.m.

– Voting –

The crowd will vote on their favorite to determine the winner who will hold the title of “Launchpad’s Elevator Pitch Champion.”

7:20 – 7:30 p.m.

– Networking & Wrap Up –

Mingle and meet with students and LaunchPad staff to discuss ideas.
